~ The Southern Union / Confederate States of America ~

It is the belief of the TSU administration that a merger of the "TSU" and "CSA" alliances would benefit us both greatly.

THE CHARTER OF "THE SOUTHERN UNION" WOULD REMAIN INTACT BUT WOULD BE EDITED TO ALLOW MERGER AND THE CREATION OF NEW GOVERNMENT OFFICES. THE CHARTER WOULD BE EDITED TO ALLOW ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MERGER PROPOSALS.

It is our proposal to the alliance "Confederate States of America" that, as of the signing of this agreement, the two alliances should for all intents and purposes become one. CSA members would change alliances and would then recognize themselves as members of "The Southern Union" and would fall under the direct protection of "The Sweet Oblivion", TSU's protectorate.

Membership with the Southern Union is guaranteed to all current Confederate States of America members without having to be subjected to the application process that new members must go through. All current members of the CSA would instantly become accepted, full members will full rights in the TSU.

All government members in the Confederate States of America would be given seats of power in the Southern Union. Transition should go smoothly and all government members would take power instantly upon signing. Former CSA titles would be forfeited and new TSU titles would become active immediately.

As all CSA members would come in as new TSU members, they would be granted the standard 3 million dollar sign-up bonus afforded to all TSU applicants. The money will be paid out from current TSU management.

All former CSA members would be allowed to keep their "Confederate" identity in the forums as the new "Confederate Party" would be created as a political engine for elections. The current CSA President would serve as "Confederate Party Chairperson" and would work to have party members elected into TSU government in the future.

CSA President "Freak" would become Co-Vice President of the TSU and would take over in the case of absence of the TSU President. The CSA Secretary of State would become the new "Speaker of the House" and would be in charge of domestic affairs. The CSA Secretary of War would become the new TSU Secretary of Defense. The CSA Secretary of the Navy would become the TSU Secretary of Recruitment and the current CSA Secretary of the Treasury would keep his title and position in the TSU.

Together, we can lay the foundation of a mighty alliance.

Well the whole reason We the people of the "CSA" joined The Confederate States of America was to be independent so we should not merge with the TSU. It would indanger the very reason why The Confederate States of America is here

I think that it is a great idea and will deliberate with the president whenever he resumes office.

If we do merge, I would like to use our CAFS system, it is an brillant way to slove aid issues and if possible I would like to use our forum.

This is a tough decision & a wonderful proposition.
I am going to open up a discussion, and eventually a voting forum in my office.

Dang we cant merge wat happin to keeping the Confederate States of America an independent nation is that the whole reason why we r a CONFEDERACY KEY WORD CONFEDERACY

We need our alliance bigger. right now if too many of our alliance members quite playing or changed over it would destroy our alliance. it would be better for our alliance to merge because if a couple people did change over we would not be too badly damaged.

And we would then be the Southern Union so we do not have to worry ourselves over the confederacy thing.

You both seem to be under the impression that it would be our alliance. We would lose our independence, only to be restricted to a party.

Again, it would not be our alliance. If you want to grow our alliance, volunteer to be Secretary of the Navy.

I doubt it. By that time, many people may of forgotten the Confederacy's independent existence.

The chance of us becoming an independent alliance again is slim.

You would all be welcome. We have some great people in TSU and I think everyone would get along.

The only reason this came up again is... The CSA drifted VERY close to war yesterday. We would try to have more control over "loose cannons" in the TSU.

I was prepared to set the Confederacy to war with jacord, and I still ponder it. This is not jacord's first round at this.

I am not really sure what to tell him, but it happens. I am considering a sanction, or perhaps to hit with a war from us, but I think that getting him a better way to perform war (TE perhaps) would be the optimum solution.

I don't want to force him out, because his is a stronger nation of ours.

Jacord is the type of person that will get you into a lot of trouble. A President should be willing to dispose of a rouge.

Lets get one thing straight, Jacord would not make the move.

I have noticed that jacord is inactive. Let's await his response.

He may actually have a reason for his actions, however much I doubt it.

I told him last time that if he did that again, I'd boot him from the alliance in a ZI'd nation.

I also told him that I would hear him out before I did anything too drastic.

I had rn1234 ready to declare on him one time, only for him to tell me that it was revenge for a previous tech raid. Sure enough, I checked his history, there it was. In this alliance, revenge for a tech raid is an acceptable reason for war.

In the end, I sanctioned him for a while for not notifying me, but he was still in the right according to our rules of declaring. I'm sure yours are different, but that is another discussion for another time.

Part of my leniency policy is based on the CS policy of state's rights. I do not want to go crazy on a nation due to a misunderstanding.

I also do not want to force the fifth Confederate out without so much as a word between us.

So, how does this sound to you:
I tell any CSA nations that wish to join the TSU to go ahead.
You will get many new members. Some have already joined you.
Not a merger, more of a split for me. I ask you guarantee everything from the merger agreement to the nations that move.

However, if they want to come back or change alliances at all, they should be able to.

Dont do that, this alliance will fall apart. There will not be enough people, probably only 1 or 2 left. If you do that it may as well me a merge. I will stick with the alliance if it merges but i wont if you do that. There will be no alliance left. Eventually you will even transfer F6F Freak.

If there are still a few nations left (aside from jacord), I'll rebuild the Confederacy, just like the first time.
If there are no other nations left (aside from jacord), I'll go to the NpO before the TSU.
If the merger goes through, I'll head to the TSU that simple.

Well when i was in the NpO I didnt like it, way to confuseing.

I know I have a friend that joined some green thing and he hates it but they are good aid givers it what he says.

I liked the NpO, but I love the Confederacy. I had great dreams for it. I fear that it's future is the same as the original CSA, however, that is to fade into oblivion.

I like the Confederacy to, why are you so strongly against mot going to TSU?

I don't think anything is degrading. I just don't understand why you stand by Jacord and now by IceMark.

If they are traitors and attack people without cause, they should be dealt with.

Oh.. and it's not my goal to split you guys.

I'm not after new members.. that's not why I made the offer.

I made the offer because, as you and I both know, we would be stronger if we did.

But, if that's the way you want it, I will offer any members that jump the deal I put forth for the alliance.

I wanted you guys to come in to be better protected and grow with aid from the TSU and we would benefit because it would ave shored up our attacking capabilities for lower ranked nations.

I've decided to put it all to a vote. Let the people decide. Three options will be available:
1. No action. We all stay CSA.
2. Split. You want to leave, leave. You dont? Stay.
3. Full merger. The proposal above goes into action.

I'll set it up as a non- disscussion thread. There will be a poll attached as well, But I prefer that members state what they wish. This will not be open to ambassadors; while you cannot see it, it is indeed there.
